A Place In The Vines is located an easy 5 minute walk from the centre of the historic village of Montpeyroux. Overlooked by the floodlit ruins of Le Castellas, Montpeyroux has a baker, butcher, general store,hairdresser, tabac, post office, bar and bistro.
There is a village market on Thursday and Sunday mornings.

In addition there is a WIne Co-operative and 18 independent wine growers producing seriously good world-renowned wines.

Only a few minutes drive away there is the Hérault Gorge - with a small beach for swimmers, Grotte de Clamouse, and the world heritage site of St Guilhem le Desert.
